Celebrating its 42nd year, the Sandhills Quilters Guild (SQG) was founded in 1982 and is a nonprofit organization promoting and perpetuating the art of quilting through education.
From just a handful of members, the Guild has since grown to 100+ members from Moore County and beyond. We have a variety of educational programs, sometimes given by nationally known teachers and other times by members. We make and donate quilts to a number of nursing homes, Quilts of Valor, Habitat for Humanity and other worthy causes in our area.
In September of even numbered years we host a quilt show at the beautiful and historic Pinehurst Fair Barn.
The Guild meets at 9:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at Our Saviour Lutheran Church and sometimes on Saturday at the Whispering Pines Community Center.
